Your Care Home is a busy and dynamic environment. There are always changes to contend with and medication that needs updating regularly. New Service Users are frequently admitted and others may leave. You therefore need to ensure that every Service User’s medication is available appropriately. Your service does not stop at 6pm and nor do you close at weekends and Bank Holidays.

Easy Monthly Process

Our monthly supply service uses a special document, a Confirmation Sheet, which is sent out 3 weeks prior to a new cycle. This gives you the opportunity to update our records and confirms what you want to order. On receiving this, we can ensure that the prescriptions match exactly what has been requested so you get the drugs you want with the correct quantities and the correct doses. We can also tell you what is missing and what has been changed well in advance and help rectify issues before the monthly supply is due.

Easy Checking Of Medication

We understand how much time checking-in the monthly medication can take. That’s why we have developed special paperwork to accompany your monthly supply. The paperwork that accompanies your monthly delivery is specially designed to help you check in the medication supply quickly and accurately. Even the MAR charts are specially laid out to help you find items quickly and reduce the risk of errors.

Easy Lightweight MDS System

The flexibility and safety advantages of a blister pack system are well known. The Pharmacy Plus MDS blister system is a lightweight, disposable card system which is hygienic and easy to use. With this system we can also rack the trays for you and in the manner of your choosing, such as Room Order or Table Order. This approach saves you time and effort.

7 Days a Week, 365 Days a Year

Our Dispensary is open 7 days a week as standard and is able to deliver every single day of the year. In some areas, we also deliver up to three times a day on weekdays. This means that prescriptions received by the various cut off times are dispensed and dispatched promptly with the next outgoing driver. Therefore, you can rest assured that your Service Users get the medicines they need when they need them.

Dispensing Quality

We have paid considerable attention to detail with our dispensing procedures and they have been designed to cater for your specific needs and help your Care Home score highly when under inspection. Our service includes the following features as standard;
