The PCS is part of a networked solution which communicates with a central database using secure connections to give you complete control and peace of mind in a manner which protects patient confidentiality.
Patient Management
PCS Online service has been established to allow senior staff to manage patient files. From the PCS Online secure site, authorised staff can log on and add new patients, manage patient drugs and administration times. The files are shared with Pharmacy Plus, ensuring accurate patient information. Any changes made by Pharmacy Plus or authorised staff are immediately reflected on the PCS at the Care Home, ready for the next drug round.
Data BackUp and Recovery
It is essential that all the information relating to patient administration is backed up securely, safely and promptly. The PCS is designed to communicate with a central server immediately after connection to the Internet. After each drug round, the system docks with PCS Online and copies all files to a secure location. Therefore, at any given time the central server holds records of every administration up to the last time it was docked. In the event of a malfunction, the PCS can be restored in its entirety at the press of a button.
Full Online Reporting
The PCS Online facilities allow senior management to print off a host of reports. Hard copies of computerised MAR Charts can be printed at the press of a button from anywhere, where authorised staff have Internet access. Specially designed performance reports give further detailed analysis of how the Care Home is being managed and the opportunities for improvement.
Pharmacy Plus Online Services
PCS Online also gives users automatic access to a range of other Pharmacy Plus Online facilities. This includes the ability to view images of patients prescriptions for the stock that has been (and yet to be) delivered to the Care Home. Authorised users may also use Pharmacy Plus online facilities to track the progress of a particular dispensing transaction.
