Classic online features

See your prescriptions
You can log on at any time and see prescriptions even before they are dispensed. This allows compliance with RPS recommendations and also provides and audit trail.

Keep records up-to-date
By seeing your residents’ data for yourself, you can keep us informed of any changes to patients’ therapy.

Track dispensing
Sometimes you just want to know if a prescription has been dispensed and if it’s on its way. Now you can check any time – day or night.

Ground breaking analytical tools

The range of information available and its user friendliness has been greatly improved.

View my patients
Resident information has been greatly improved. Offering the same functionality as the ‘View my homes’, users can now view all assigned patients in one easy to navigate list.

View my Homes
This new section allows users to view an individual home or a list of the homes in their group. The information available covers details on all active residents including their date of birth, room number and medication history. Other information includes when a drug was commenced, when it was last dispensed and administered.

Perform a Review
Available exclusively to all homes using the Proactive Care System; a list of patients who have received a Clinical Medication Review (CMR) can be viewed. Residents considered ‘High’ risk are highlighted to encourage changes to their medication when necessary, reducing the likelihood of hospital admission.

View Statistics
This allows you to comparing statistics about your residents and their medications. Key drug categories (sedation, antipsychotics, dementia drugs etc) can be grouped together and the number of residents taking them identified. Results can be compared against both your group results and the Pharmacy Plus national averages.

Print more reports online

Using the Pharmacy Plus online service you can print a number of reports on demand, from the most commonly used drugs to patient information, some of the most useful are;

Quality Assessment Report and Medication Audit (QARMA)
This report provides a wealth of information about the performance of the care home, the GPs surgery and suggestions on how therapy can be improved.

Home Drug Info Summary (HOME DIS)
An entire list of drugs being used in any home can be accessed, along with which patients are taking them; their indications, side-effects, cautions and contra-indications.

Medicine administration records
For homes using the Proactive Care System hard copies of the MAR Charts can be printed anywhere.

Clinical Medication Review (CMR)
Shows a summary of the current drug therapy (only available to Proactive Care System customers).

Fulfilling latest CQC requirements

The catalyst for the development of our improved system was to address new CQC regulations and the issues raised by Care Homes Use of Medicines Study (CHUMS). Both of these highlight that errors can occur at prescribing level, dispensing level and at the point of administration. Our response was to create an easy to use online system that helps you successfully manage the risks inherent in medicines management and administration, and improve your overall service to residents.
